June 1991 saw the entry into ative parliamentary and legislative activity by election as member of the eight gujarat legislative assembly |

Again in 1995 he was elected as the member of legislative assembly and saw him being elevated to be the minister for narmada development, water resources and water supply from march 1995 to september 1996 |
